Known for her work ethic, determination and generosity, South African multi–award winning radio host, TV presenter and MC and style icon, Bonang Matheba, has firmly positioned herself as Africa’s most sought-after entertainment personality and the African continent’s number one social media darling, with over 8.58M combined social media followers.
Beyond her business ventures, Bonang is a committed philanthropist and an impactful advocate for social change. In February 2019, she participated as a panelist at the #WESEEEQUAL Gender Equality Summit in Mumbai, co-hosted by P&G and UN Women, where she discussed the role of media and influencers in promoting gender equality. Her advocacy extends further as she served as a Global Citizen Advocate, taking the stage at the Mandela 100 campaign and festival — which saw world leaders, philanthropists, and the private sector making commitments towards achieving the UN’s Global Goals, to end extreme poverty and its systemic causes. She also heads the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund, launched in 2013, aiming to support 300 girls through tertiary education by 2025.
