Data Project Coordinator, Arts (12-month contract)

THE POSITION
The Arts program supports artists and cultural organizations and improves audience experience to strengthen the creative landscape and quality of life in cities around the world. These efforts include facilitating collaborations between artists and local governments to address civic issues, building capacity for small and mid-sized cultural institutions, and increasing and enhancing visitor engagement through the integration of digital technology.
The Digital Accelerator program seeks to strengthen nonprofit cultural organizations through strategic investments in their digital. The Data Project Coordinator will manage grantee information, communicate with grantees through the process, and support data reporting.
The role is based in New York.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Management
- Support with data entry in grants management database, including filing and formatting documents and ensuring accurate coding
- Ensure files are up-to-date and organized
- Perform basic due diligence research on non-profit grantees
- Data and Analytics
- Assist with monitoring implementation milestones and metrics and work with implementation partners to resolve questions
- Support leadership reporting on project progress and impact
- Communication
- Update grantees on key deadlines, reporting processes, and other data requests
- Monitor crediting in grantee assets and press releases
- Manage and direct grantee inquiries
- Maintain up-to-date contact lists for key personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Experience handling data in Excel and creating clear charts and graphs with a sharp eye for accuracy and detail
- Familiarity with Fluxx, Salesforce, and similar database tools a plus
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate projects and tasks with a focus on quality and follow-through
- Confidence to ask pertinent questions to grasp concepts quickly and think beyond specific tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good project management skills for driving short term projects and reporting requests
- Flexibility and ability to learn and develop new skills on the job
- Experience or interest in cultural organizations and their role and impact in communities
