Social Media Coordinator – 6 month contract

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Digital team in a contract role for about six months. The role involves supporting the team with a focus on social media, websites, digital campaigns, and project management across multiple stakeholders and partners.
We'll Trust You To:
- Track status and progress on all projects in the Digital team portfolio and assignments delegated to external agencies
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the Digital team has necessary assets (e.g. photos, graphics) and information to develop social media content
- Contribute to the organization’s social media strategy by generating new ideas and recommending trends and current events for content development
- Assemble the daily social media recaps that is sent to the entire organization
- Assist with publishing press releases, blog posts, and other content to MikeBloomberg.com, Bloomberg.org, and the organization’s additional website
- Support in the Digital Team’s community management efforts, including identifying opportunities for engagement and flagging relevant content to program teams
- Assist in drafting content, including metadata for videos for YouTube, storyboarding for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Feed captions, etc.
- Provide support to colleagues who are traveling for work by drafting shot lists for content capture
- Provide administrative support for digital team, including saving key documents, reports, photos, and assets related to our work on shared drives, and assist with team scheduling
- Support digital team members with various projects as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 1 year of professional experience
- Experience working with social media and/or Wordpress platforms in a professional capacity is preferred
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills for social media and internal communications
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines while keeping an attention to detail
- Team player
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments and a proven track record of delivering high quality results
- High energy, problem solving, self-starter, results oriented, proactive individual
Pay Information
Pay Range: $33 - $35 per hour
The referenced pay range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
