Bloomberg Global Business Forum

in partnership with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund

September 24, 2024
The Plaza Hotel, New York, NY
3:30 to 5:00 pm ET

The Global Business Forum (GBF) returned to New York City on Tuesday, September 24th during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, and in partnership with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the forum focused on aligning governments and businesses around major trends, risks and opportunities impacting global markets such as climate change, trade, and digitalization.

The Global Business Forum provided an opportunity for leaders across public policy, business, technology, and finance to assess and outline progress that must be made by the public and private sectors ahead of upcoming global moments, including the G20 and COP29 in November. The Global Business Forum also highlighted investment action across key sectors and the opportunities and challenges associated with current financial paradigm shifts with a particular focus on global trade, the climate transition, energy systems, and digitalization.

Last held in the fall of September 2019, the Bloomberg Global Business Forum is the leading public-private gathering alongside the United Nations General Assembly, bringing together the world’s most prominent CEOs and heads of state to discuss the importance of cooperation, diplomacy, and shared responsibility for economic prosperity and environmental stability.
